Artificial mountains to be built in UAE

It has long been known that mountains affect climate and weather conditions, as well as air circulation, wind, precipitation, and temperature changes.

Researcher Reilof Bruinzhis commented: «At present, we estimate the dependence of the amount of precipitation on the type of rocks, the height of the mountains and the type of their slopes. We will publish the first report this summer.»

According to official data on the conduct of these studies, the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology of the UAE has allocated about 400 thousand dollars.
