Dubai airport employee jailed for harassment

Dubai: An employee of the Dubai airport will be jailed for three months for molesting vacationers. 19-year-old citizen of Britain, sat and waited for her flight. At about 4 o'clock, the 27-year-old Asian worker approached the girl and invited her for coffee after he informed her that her flight to the UK would be delayed.

Then he invited the girl to the room that he rented.

In the room, he approached her and began to touch her hair, then touched her knees and massaged her legs. The girl ran out of the room and reported it to the police department at the airport. Dubai Court of First Instance found guilty of having molested a 19-year-old girl and put him in jail for three months. However, he appealed his sentence to the Court of Appeal, where he pleaded not guilty. The presiding judge rejected the defendant’s appeal and upheld his three-month prison sentence. He will be deported after serving a prison term.

At the police interrogation, the accused said that he had only touched her in order to wake her up for breakfast.
