Dubai Rental Terms Will Be Easier

Every year more and more people from all over the world are on holiday in the UAE, according to forecasts, by 2020 the number of tourists will increase to 20 million per year. New lease terms will greatly simplify the process of renting housing for both owners and tourists. Dubai’s Ministry of Tourism asks developers to draw up rental terms and place them in their homes.

At the moment, new rules are still being drafted, and so far decree No. 41 of 2013 continues to be in effect, which reads: «Housing can be leased only after obtaining the appropriate permit from the Department of Tourism and Commercial Activities. The absence of a rental permit entails a fine of from 200 to 20,000 dirham, and in case of repeated violation - up to 100,000 dirham».
